not saying he wouldn’t (he might) but the only level of escalation left is the mass murder of americans—something they might attempt regardless! they’re already killing and kidnapping us; the red line has been crossed, how is this not clear?

no, he doesn’t want “pretext”, he’s already proven he doesn’t need that! he wants to kidnap & kill you without you fighting back. if you refuse to escalate after drawing red lines, or refuse to draw lines at all, trump *will* get his way which is ethnic cleansing and uncontested power

i honestly, truly think only some kind of action that will be deemed “insurrectionary” will be sufficient, which is why this “we can’t give him what he wants” narrative by walz/newsom is fucking insane

there will be no impeachments, there are no red lines, there will be no accountability. the first moment trump, miller and his fascist cronies will face anything is at the ballot box in 2028. what are the odds, at this rate, of them refusing to anticipate that?

it’s no coincidence, in my opinion, that a decades-long march towards social progress first slows, then halts, and is finally reversing under the arrival of the social media regime

was referring to the idea of a ban being somehow transphobic.

that a ban will cause harm is true; not banning will cause far more harm. the thesis that people should retreat from their actual surroundings into the internet has been, imo, roundly disproven

i don't think it makes any sense to see the current state of the trump administration or the united states as one of weakness. it is a stupid one, one that may end in complete failure, but one that is only able to be this stupid and awful due to their unrelenting strength

i don't think the few legal setbacks the trump administration has suffered (many of which, like the abrego garcia case, are still being litigated) was worth abrogating all power over the administration, no. i think the admin is feeling very confident, hence why they refuse to ever back down
January 17, 2026 at 6:18 PM
i think the way people react to situations says a lot more than vague hypotheticals, and the trump admin has seemed extremely confident while the courts have been active and acted as hastily as they could to end the shutdown
