Your faith that innovation will lower the costs of production and thereby lead to lower prices is touching. Recent experience has shown that lower production costs lead instead to increased dividend payouts or share buy-backs. The people still suffer price-gouging and the rich get even richer.

Forgive my cynicism, but it has been 26 months since the RCMP began the Greenbelt investigation and there's nothing to show for it, and I expect the same of this.

Canadian from Manitoba, living in Toronto. Always "shawn". Perhaps it's like scone (sounds like tone or sounds like on)

Thank you for this link. I am immuno-compromised and this is an eye-opener. Appreciate knowing this.

I sous-vide chicken breasts at 145.5 F past the point where pasteurization is reached. This should be safe?

I take until mid-February to adjust and then the days start to be noticeably longer. I detest this time change!!

Harper's cuts led to huge losses of institutional knowledge. Followed by over use of consultants which compounded de-skilling of the Federal workforce. We once had one of the best bureaucracies of any national government. Not now and Carney's cuts will compound the problem, which JT tried to solve.

True. I'm a Manitoban who's lived in Toronto for 38 years. My physiotherapist said "I feel like the series united Toronto, possibly the country." After all, this is the city that has the National Ballet and the Canadian Stage company, Canadian Dance Theatre etc. They can't help themselves.

I know some people who did it on Saturday - also fine?!

I think you misread "Librarian" ?

It is white dominated, but not all are white. Mahmud Jamal is Ismaili Muslim, born in Kenya. Michelle O'Bonsawin is Indigenous. So, tho' I may seem a bean counter, that's 22% in a country where 26% of the pop is "visible minority". Interestingly, 5 of 9 are women.Thx for the opp to look this up.

It's true, the garments were known as the Santa robes.

Should there be a change of control in 2026 the Democrats will need to lead America through a version of the Nuremberg trials. They won't, but they should. This administration's crimes against the American people are without precedent. They must pay. But I'm only a Canadian, so what do I know?

I guess we don't really need an austerity budget then.

His religion is not relevant. I was going to ask you to revise the post but I think a block is necessary.

This is a bad idea. Going even incrementally over the limit increases the risk of accident, injury, and death. The limits aren't set arbitrarily, but what you are proposing is. This behaviour is hard to distinguish from Doug Ford's, I hate to say.

Yes, and also. Both matter, a lot. If you can't see that, then goodbye.

My concern is expressed more fully in this article. Targetting children is not enough for those who start by doing just that.

The first time an Alberta government invoked the notwithstanding clause, public outrage forced a reversal in less than 24 hours. I wish to God Albertans would show the same moral fury now, when school children are outed & bullied by the government that is supposed to protect them. #ableg #abpoli

So, speaking as a gay man aged 68 who came of age when we had no rights, I fear the possibility of who is next. Will charter safeguards be "notwithstanded" for us, for non-Christians, for people of colour? Big can of worms here Danielle.

Thanks for this. The discourse comparing the 2 pandemics is not widely known. I'm 68, husband 73, we met in 1985 & worked out our sexual relationship midst the onset of AIDS. Since 20-03 we've taken many precautions & remain healthy. I wonder how much our approach is
based on experiences 40 yrs ago.
