BTW, all Medicare recipients have Medicare premiums deducted from their Social Security. You still pay the same premium if you have an advantage plan (maybe with additional cost) but it alters the way your Medicare works.

I used to work for an agency on aging and worked with Medicare. I saw numerous people off whose advantage plan would only cover 10 days in rehab, where traditional Medicare covers up to 100. Also saw many instances of physical therapy being denied or significantly reduced. Just to name a few.

Many people don't have the amount of the max out of pocket available if they encounter a bill.of $2000 or more. Supplemental isn't cheap, but the costs are predictable. Advantage plans don't cover the same services as traditional Medicare, so what you need may not be covered

Medicare advantage plans can have huge unpredictable out of pocket costs, and there are usually less covered services than with traditional Medicare.
