I think Marty Supreme continues a Safdie tradition of following the worst person in the world living through the worst part of their life.

I'm no fan of Maduro, but this is INSANE. This little venture isn't about "freedom" or "rights" or any principle at all. It's about oil and power, and the people of Venezuela have lost one dictator only to be replaced by another: Donald Trump.

Holy lord is the New York Democratic Party a mess. I'm not a DSA type but you're goddamn right I'm voting for Mamdani in November. I feel like the whole state party is trapped in amber or something. And that includes our congressional leaders.

The tragedy in Texas is a prime example of how politics works in this country. Did the Trump cuts cause delays and inefficiencies in the weather warning system? Perhaps. It's debatable. But if the roles were reversed the GOP wouldn't care about nuance. It would be wall to wall "Dems killed people."
