are you actually the police chief of minnesota?

they picked people up in their workplace. Or at home, arriving in plainclothes, taking people away without making a show out of it. They didn't perform arrests where they'd have 50 witnesses right off the bat.

With ICE; it's a display of power just as much as the cruelty being the point.

So he did get a change of the law started, whereas what Trump pardons for is exactly as illegal today as it was when they were convicted, and will be illegal in the future.

I don't understand how this little fact can just be glossed over.

I like how you omitted two thirds of what I said just for a cheap gotcha.
December 6, 2025 at 8:13 PM
when Biden pardoned those 6500 for minor drug offenses, did he also change the law or would the same act result in the same prosecution today?
December 6, 2025 at 7:41 PM
I am not blaming him for that.
I resent his Trump-like attitude of "do this exactly this way or you're fired".
December 6, 2025 at 7:39 PM
The analogy I used wasn't to compare them to the ICE agents but to the police officers who are told to stop ICE, but are not allowed to arrest them.

IRS investigators find out about the wrong people skipping taxes. That's a bad thing to do when those people are friends with the GOP governor
December 6, 2025 at 7:37 PM
If they're actually stopping the assaults. American cops only know how to do two things. Shoot people and arrest people. If they can't arrest people, do you think they'll do the other if the ICE agents just ignore their firm words?
December 6, 2025 at 7:35 PM
You're pretending these pardons are all equal. That's the only way volume matters. Biden pardoning 6500 minor drug offenses is more valid and less damaging than ANY pardon by Trump so far
December 6, 2025 at 3:55 PM
You disagree with every single pardon Biden issued? Low level drug offenses?
December 6, 2025 at 3:44 PM
The Gestapo were a lot more subtle about what they did, though.

Ich bin jetzt kein spanischer Jurist, aber für mich liest sich das nicht so, als wäre er bestraft worden. Klingt viel eher nach Einstellung nach Täter-Opfer-Ausgleich. Also freigekauft.
December 6, 2025 at 3:36 PM
And how is that gonna work out when ICE responds with force? They will back down again, since they can't arrest them.

let's meet back here in 4 weeks and see what actually happened, you're apparently willing to hold your breath now until ICE was stopped just once by the Police with force. I'm not.

I can read English just fine, that's why I replied in English to begin with. But message received, the yurop outsider will shut up now.
December 6, 2025 at 2:07 PM
and he's arguing presidents can revoke pardons.

This should scare all these people more than anything Trump can threaten them with. Back to jail in 2029.
December 6, 2025 at 2:06 PM
with which pardon do you disagree with?
December 6, 2025 at 2:05 PM
If police aren't allowed to arrest you, you literally are exempt from the law.
December 6, 2025 at 12:40 PM
he threatened to fire his officers if they don't do something about ICE while also saying they can't arrest ICE.

Do your job or you're fired, but if you do your job right you'll also get fired. This is how red states treat IRS investigators.

Am I the only one who actually read the article?
December 6, 2025 at 12:39 PM
What an asshole. He tells them to "do something" while at the same time not allowing them to do the right thing: arresting ICE.

CYA at its finest.

Fußballfans und ESC-Zuschauer sind zwei völlig unterschiedliche Gruppen.

Als Polizist ist dir ja bestens bewusst, dass ein Fußballstadion eine Asozialen-Tagesstätte ist.
