“If a man continually has anxiety (“heartbreak”), and his heart ponders foolishness”, reads the opening of this medical therapy from ancient Assyria.

The treatment is elaborate.

You mix various ingredients, make figurines, then rub the patient with dough that you then form into another figurine.

A small fragment of a cuneiform clay tablet only about 4cm long and 2cm wide. On the right is a multicoloured ruler showing its height and a British Museum watermark. On the left alongside the side where the tablet is broken is the identifier in ink “K 15055”
