If you think you're saving time on work, well that time will simply be filled with other work by your boss, soon, and/or downgrade your job. If you're saving effort on school work, you're likely declassing yourself as this leaves your critical thinking skills underdeveloped. And so on..

Whatever the exact amount of energy AI search uses compared to conventional browser search, it's definitely huge, and it's very likely not worth it. Meaning: not worth the planetary destruction for sure, not even worth the human effort supposedly saved in the everyday.
