Gooner 🔴 - Bluesky timeline of my football thoughts
I think, however bad it's, we are as capable as we ever had been to cope with Big Gabi's injury. There will be problems, but as long as all the other defenders are fit, the manager can do a lot of things as there are quality players there. 1/3

I generally think it's been a poor Premier League at higher up the table (so far).

Seems like a season in which a team or 2 from the promoted group might stay up this season. Reason being some bad PL sides + those promoted sides look like they're okay-good esp. Leeds and Burnley.

The unity Eze's proposed signing creates among Arsenal fans is really good to see. Feelgood stories are always nice.

Alexander Isak signing a lucrative new deal at Newcastle at the end, is my hot take/prediction of the summer.

Probably with an achievable release clause or something.

Samuele Ricci is a very good, underrated signing for Milan. Allegri's new setup tailor-made for him.

In a summer so many teams paying godawful money for attackers, no one seriously approaching Rafael Leao is proof that top teams value out of possession intentions + skills way more than we think/want to appreciate.

Still learning about Gyökeres. Unlike many, do not think #9 is THE priority to purchase this window but a signing on that department was a must! Age is not ideal but cost very reasonable compared to many rumoured targets. Most of all, desire to join the club very admirable!

The level of production Hale End is providing for the Arsenal 1st team these 4-5 yrs isn't getting the appreciation it deserves!

Last season was the 1st year in 6 that Alexander Isak played 30 90s (~80% of league minutes). His next best availability is 25 90s at Sociedad in 2020/21.

I love the handicam "Inside Training" videos with coaches working with players, because it gives you the feeling of being there, and reinforces how violently athletic a "slow" Premier Leaguer like Nørgaard is.

I like Noni Madueke just because of this 👇. Not sure why Chelsea sell him, though.

I'm accumulating transfers that happened for annual piece I'll do about 'my top 10 deals of the window' & while it probably won't make the cut, Yoan Bonny's move to Inter is realllyyy tempting me cause I realllyyy like the player.

Probably not a better time than this for Napoli to strengthen even more with the uncertain state of the rest of Serie A & De Laurentis delivering that. Nunez & N'Doye exciting attacking names to add, very necessary too.

Watching Lewis-Skelly back this year, and it’s honestly still pretty shocking. He’s got two very specific little issues (basically involving going to ground too much), but ... that's it. More than a couple of times, he looked like the best player on the pitch on a pitch filled with stars.

Cesc, Viera remaining in their exciting projects. Now Cuesta joining the army at Parma. Like what I saw in the last 6 months from Chivu, though has a lot harder task at Inter now. Italiano to continue doing his thing. Allegri at Milan is a downer but LOCKED IN for 25/26 Serie A!

Brighton already signed their 3rd attacker this window alone, big one being at €40m, after signing 5 attacking talents last summer too, price ranging €18-€47m. Chelsea well documented with this: stockpiling attackers. That's, IMO, how you'll improve your attack. 1/2
