RIP Shunsaku Tamiya, age 90, the chairman of legendary modelmaker Tamiya. He didn't found the company, but started working there in 1958, just four years after its founding, and helped it shift from its original line of wooden models into the plastic kits it is so well known for today.

After seven months, at last I'm calling this Tamiya 1:35 late Jagdpanther done. Great kit, but I slowed myself down by trying new stuff: finding etched metal Schürzen; enamel paints for "airbrushing without an airbrush"; etc. Thank flip it's over. #HistScaleModels

Amusing Hobby's kf-51 demonstrator built a month or two ago. Pretty painless kit and comes with a mask set. Fun short build even with the somewhat daunting looking fully workable tracks. #scalemodels

I admit I had HUGE doubts after I painted the base black 😅
But after slapping on all paints I could find, I can confidently answer „was it worth it?“ with „yes“ 😁
