I still cannot believe that the marketing team at Aksys Games got away with this. One of the most mechanically interesting and fantastic side-scrolling shooters made by bullet-hell legends CAVE, and the back of the box blurb is just "LOOK OUR GAME HAS LOLIS IN IT"

even the phase 2 beta icons were fucking AMAZING, the hand-drawn skeleton-fingered "fuck you" was so perfect. The ability is called Resurrection and when this character dies, in a HUGE aoe, slows everyone to a crawl before reviving at full health (he was changed from a skeleton to a ghost later)

Dota 2 had some *amazing* placeholder icons, some of these made it into the public beta back in 2012, and we all laughed about it. AND, they're *CLEARLY* placeholders that need to be replaced, no doubt about that, and no "oops we forgot" excuse necessary.

Shitty wizard collab is no longer a rumor: the latest update added a placeholder icon for a future Mythic item to be released in the game. Mythic items mean that the characters will be included prominently on the map for a large period of time.

To make this even more clear; I'm not just a fortnite tourist, I've literally played this game *every season* since it's launched. I've played on mobile, Xbox, PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC. I've likely got over 2000 hours in this game.
