Today we played "Ticket to Ride Europe" and it is just one of those all time classic games. Super easy to learn, mildly hard to master, a lot of (chill) planning and only a little bit of luck.

Christmas was great! My wife and I gifted each other multiple new board games like the true fucking nerds we are, the son also got one and some more cool stuff and everyone is happy!

Went for the Platinum in Octopath Traveler 0 and I know why I normally do not do that.
Optional super boss is amazing - but rerolling the shop for a RNG item that you need almost killed all of my emotions that I have left in my body.

Finished Octopath Traveler 0 and it was an absolute phenomenal game. I do prefer 2 over 0 due to the structure, but the fact they molded a mobile game into this is crazy. Such fast paced fun turn based gameplay, great visuals, amazing moments. Really loved this one!

Working in an industry that also pushes LLM & ML a lot it does not really surprise me anymore. But I will say: The more you use AI for brainstorming, writing and fixing grammar, the worse your own writing will get. I work with people that literally cannot write emails without AI anymore.
Nihon Falcom "actively" using AI for brainstorming scenarios, conducting research, and similar applications.

Man, hearing that comparison from Swen sucks. Using AI just like google or an art book - unfortunately it is just X-times more harmful and wastes so much more energy.
Just hire a handful of concept artist that sit next to the writer and if the writer has an idea they can give it to them....

One of my favourite things about Octopath Traveler overall are the boss sprites. I love when the small pixel dude becomes a boss and is suddenly 10 meters tall and in most cases either sexy or crazy looking.
OT 0 has some phenomenal ones as well!

I do prefer Octopath Traveler being 8 characters only - the huge roster in 0 has some issues - but you also get some insanely cool bad ass characters + the customization and gameplay options are through the roof.
I hope Octopath stays for a long time.

So the Divinity trailer is absolutely sick (in all ways possible) but I would have loved to get at least the genre. Is it old school Divinity ARPG or will it be a CRPG? Please Larian, give more!
There is something super relaxing about Octopath Traveler when you visit a new town and you use all the path actions on everyone and get nice little flavour text and cool stuff.

If we get Divinity Original Sin 3 I will go crazy. I still like the gameplay system much more than BG3 overall.
If it is a new Divine Divinity or anything more action like I will be big sad. But I can also not see them returning to that after 11 years of doing CRPGs

MH Wilds being nr. 1 in playtime while being the MH with the lowest playtime for me overall is funny.

While I cannot say a lot about the game yet - good start though - Nishiki is already cooking. In terms of ambient/village/city music he is one of the greatest to ever do it.

I do not play LoL anymore but I still love watching it! Also somehow got grabbed by WoW again, Dino is the best no hit runner out there, I love him. Joseph Andersons Umineko playthrough was absolutely peak and Phunk is still my favourite German streamer!
