This is all true! As a White kid, born in 1960 on the Upper West Side near Harlem, I remember that time in NYC and watched the change with trepidation. Everyone in my life was involved in Civil Rights, Women’s Right’s, Anti-Vietnam War. Then came Regan and the right wing take over of our Culture.
