As we start Black History month, let’s not forget the horrible atrocities done to enslaved Black women by James Marion Sims in the “name of science”.

As clinicians, we cannot forget the history of medicine and why Black people have an understandable mistrust of us.

𝙏𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙄 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙.

This year I didn’t set up a reading goal. I didn’t love the social pressure and comparisons. The feeling of having to rush to get onto your next read.

I’m just seeing where the year takes me! So far it has been amazing! 💙📚
