No, AI, no. This is for a master course. They should be long. And not, a summary won’t make the cut. There is depth that needs to be grasp via concentrated reading and thinking. Learning needs attention, not speed. We need to stop glorifying short pieces of info and instead reclaim our attention.

Trump: There's a rumor and I don't know if it's so or not—that Cuba, they don't have tylenol because they don't have the money for tylenol, and they have virtually no autism

Honestly, I love teaching so much I just can’t understand how this is not every academic favorite part of the job. So much joy.

Seasoned humanitarian worker from UNICEF tells you how the situation is in Gaza. I think we should all listen. It’s 1h of your time, seems like the bare minimum is to take the time to be informed. open.spotify.com/episode/0BAu...

Agreed! I live outside Paris (suburbs) and it’s an approx 1h commute 😅. I can only imagine some of the students are on the same boat… that makes for an early morning (too early to learn that correlation is not causation I would argue)

I would propose push classes to 9 as a better alternative :)

Not working per se but class starts at 8am and I need time to get tech to work (which we all know takes a time ranging between “5 minutes” and “eternity”)

Sciences Po does not open until 7:45am. Coming from the US, this has blown my mind.

I might have to work all weekends from Sept to December because I decided to add to my full time job a lecturer job. Could not be happier with this decision (so far). Tune in in December.

I love teaching so much. Together with fieldwork is my favorite part of academia ♥️. I do not see a world where I voluntarily opt out of doing it.

Next Monday I start teaching at Sciences Po, could not be more excited! 😃

Being intimidated by fun…

Although it makes ton of sense given that they run and thrive on inducing fear.

I really, really, enjoy working with the RAs in our project in Medellín. I do not know if they are around here to see (not as active as I used to be on Twitter). But they are fantastic. What a blessing a good team is. Past RAs are now in their PhDs and I can’t wait to see what they do :).

I have not yet discovered how I can leverage the non-paid version of ChatGPT for my work. The 1.0 task I have to do is summarize research. ChatGPT gets it’s wrong about 90% of the times. No matter how much I try to guide it so that it chooses from the “correct bag of words”. How do people use it?

What is happening and has happened in the south of Spain is absolutely disgusting and completely terrifying. I expect nothing less than unanimous and unwaveringly political and popular condemnation.

Popular mobilization matters in many more ways than meet the eye. Keep showing up. Keep speaking up.

“The fact that organized protest can break the spiral of silence, and correct our impressions of what other Americans think, is one of the most immediate and important values of protesting in the first place. Scientists have [shown] protests update our impressions of what other citizens believe.”

Protests show people they are not alone in caring about an issue.
