Only one day after the legislative initiative was proposed, the Hungarian 🇭🇺 Parliament voted in favour of a nationwide ban on prides 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️. I am shocked and deeply concerned by the adoption of this amendment. It is yet another dangerous step towards autocracy in Hungary.

Today we enter the fourth year of Russia’s war on Ukraine. Peace and security for Ukraine is a matter of security for the entire European continent. Therefore, 🇺🇦 & 🇪🇺 must sit at the negotiation table! Ukraine and Europe want peace, but any peace agreement has to be comprehensive, just and lasting.

Today I had the honour to host an event on the EU Youth Check & how the 🇪🇺 Parliament can support youth mainstreaming.
Last year the 🇪🇺 Commission promised to implement a Youth Check to deepen the dimension of youth policies and assess the impact of new legislative proposals on young people in the EU.
