As a european i do not see any realistic scenario where eu forces would actively attack us mainland. Defence against US invasion: maybe. Offensive operations: no way.

Fair point. But is this about a quatari base, or about quataris getting trained (and temporary housing) in the USA for the planes they bought (f15)? I mean, i hate the current admin with a passion and also no fan of Quatar, but this thing seems spinned out of proportion.

Just an honest question tho, how does this differ from european pilots being trained on f35 in the usa? And how does this differ to eg us bases all over the world? I’m really trying to understand why ppl are so upset about this.

I’m a European. 2 years ago i visited dc with my US wife. It was so incredible. Bucket list. Lincoln mem, the White House, visited the capitol etc. It felt like it’s what made the world move forward. Right now, I’m reluctant to even visit the USA and it feels like watching a dumpster fire from afar.
