15 or so years ago the BBC ran an article about how Manchester was designed to impress London journalists on a day trip up. I've never been able to find it since, but it's still true

As someone (just) old enough to remember life before TNG my biggest problem with NuTrek it spends too much time cramming in references to the previous series at the expensive of good stories. I'd much rather have the latter, but not sure the writers are good enough for that

Not sure it was too underpowered as it had other 3d games. I think it was just a poorly planned conversion

It never quite worked out for him though, and by the end he started to get his comeuppance - getting shot at, kissing the pig, losing Gwynnie's necklace etc. All those schemes started to backfire

All the dog & mafia stuff seemed unnecessary, but it all added to the atmosphere. I'd only see Chalomet in Dune before where I could take or leave him but now I'm a fan
