My (very white, very Baptist, very proper) grandmother (pictured) had her windows shot out by the KKK for working to help Black women in New Orleans be able to vote.

Black women had the right to vote by 1920 but faced significant barriers until 1965, when the Voting Rights Act was passed.

Burning Man selfie.

I got badly injured early in the event and spent the week in a wheelchair. I got dressed up for the Tuesday night Ranger Social but it dumped rain so I took off my makeup and went to bed.

It was not the best Burn. I did still manage to volunteer but not as much as planned.
