How would San Francisco go about taxing Bloomberg right now? Is there any chance that a Congress would be elected that would tax billionaires nationwide?

In this case, wealthy US Jews are contributing to AIPAC and Israel to keep the genocide against Palestinians going. When gentiles see rich Jews donating to exterminate a people, and those Jews and Israel purport to act on behalf of all Jews, some gentiles take them at their word.

As if we need validation from a government that would just as soon has watched us die until we organized to force a better outcome. Strong people organize their own validation and don't depend upon the fickle government.

Highly paid workers get PTO--paid time off--that combines sick time and vacation time. This means that being sick means less vacation and more stress. This is not considered age discrimination as older workers have more MD visits bc vacation and sick time are optional benefits.

The real question here is "why does Scott Wiener" hold voters and residents in such contempt that he's made it his life work to dismantle any vectors for popular participation in democratic decisionmaking?"
November 27, 2025 at 5:39 PM
I'm not the one using checked boxes that accomplish nothing as a stepping stone towards higher office. And I worked on the team that defeated two of Wiener's ballot measures in 2011 that disempowered the voters (one of Scott's perennial conventions) and loosened reporting requirements for lobbyists.
November 27, 2025 at 5:38 PM
And here comes the neoliberal comparative escape hatch. Twice nothing is still nothing. I was on the only team to beat Wiener, twice, at the ballot box in 2011, Friends of Ethics. Scott wanted to let the supes repeal ballot measures and loosen lobbyist reporting regulations. The voters said "No."
November 27, 2025 at 7:45 AM
Talk is cheap. YIMBY and neoliberals like to check progressive boxes but never really follow through like they do when their corporate contributors come calling.
November 27, 2025 at 7:06 AM
Not on issues related to ICE. And Scott only began to play "both sideism" once unqualified support for Israel became a political liability. Contrast that to his relentless monomania in support of deregulating land use.

None of these risked the ire of the leadership to crank open the overton window, all were well within the penumbra.
November 27, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Scott Wiener has taken no risks to stop the atrocities.

What did you actually DO to use the power of the State of California to defend our neighbors from deportation?
November 26, 2025 at 9:23 PM
You were fine with disproportionate Zionist violence until it became politically inopportune.

A movement to nowhere centered on exclusion criteria.

Will the Mayor budget and spend those dollars on social housing?

Any attempts by LGB to interrogate gender theory as relates to homosexuals either politically or socially in our coalition is shut down by trans people as hateful. Thus, we are force teamed with people who aren't comfortable in their sexual bodies and want to ensure that homosexuals aren't either.
November 19, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Please, watch this video and tell me that based on what this trans cleric says, that gender theory does not lead to eliminationist positions with respect to homosexuality.

Yeah we really dodged the INGSOC bullet thanks to
him.

Professors have power over students. Are you suggesting that is dispositive in this case? Writers do not have power over readers who can just put the book down and move on. What's wrong with you?
November 18, 2025 at 8:22 PM
And how did that work out, with Chomsky having power to bring his views to bear to influence change in the real world?
November 18, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Chomsky was an insider to what exactly? The Pentagon during Vietnam?
November 18, 2025 at 6:09 PM
If Chomsky held power and had a gargantuan influence, then the world would look very different.
November 18, 2025 at 6:08 PM
Chomsky was a professor and an author at MIT. Epstein had an interest in big science and donated liberally to the insitution. Chomsky was not an elected official or a business titan.
November 18, 2025 at 6:07 PM
Chomsky held no positions of power.
