I have stopped playing this year after tournaments in jan-feb. My local scene is dead, tournament circuit is doing fine. What drove me away was the perception of rising "bad time-costs" (keeping up with updates, a whole new scoring system after Y1) vs diminishing returns (game feels very formulaic)

💯 I basically only use the more generic maps from my A4 book but it's just so effective in such an easy-to-store format, truly an amazing product

as a non-native speaker working in Strasbourg, the one thing I was not expecting today was to get my Alsatian language tips delivered straight to my hobby account :D

The players went full "ohhhhh" when I surprised them with the painted miniatures for their characters (which took waaay shorter to paint than preparing the actual adventure) for the first combat, and using music&sound for the first time (with Pocket Bard) was also surprisingly smooth.
