These companies only care about ad revenue generated from our usuage data. Everything else they could not be bothered about less.
It very much feels for the past year or two that the internet is increasingly just becoming one giant commercial adverts board at the expense of everthing else.

Ow no, Josh, that's terrible and heart breaking. I'd feel devasted if that happened to me.
Like you, I started reorganising things in cloud storage but this serves as a bit of a "stop and reconsider".
Awful that Google won't assist you. As you say, they usually try and know more about everyone.

Frustrating experience.

I had a few occasions where I left plenty of time and it all got eaten up by delayed trains with me just about making it. In 2022 post COVID it took me three days to get to a funeral in Poland as Lufthansa kept missing the connecting flights they kept rebooking me on. Pain!

The Gdańsk Tablature is a collection of 42 keyboard pieces in the state archive in Gdańsk(Danzig) and carries the year 1591 as an inscription. You can find my write up and some of my own performances of repertoire from that collection on my blog.

I grew up and started my first job in Germany to the familiar mocking of English people having awful mint sauce with everything.

It wasn't till I moved to the UK that I learned that it's with lamb and that the sauce is actually quite tasty. Could probbaly eat mint sauce with more than just lamb 😜

Had a lovely trip to old city or Canterbury yesterday.
Exploring the alleys and twittens, enjoying some great pub food, and finishing off with an choral evensong in Britain's oldest cathedral.
Loved the vibe and feel of the city I think I'll definitely visit again this year.

And yet, if I understand it correctly, Friedrich Merz wants to introduce FPTP in Germany and abolish the two vote PR system, which has already been somewhat tempered with under Scholz's coaltion agreement.
They don't care about stability but rather about being in power.

You forgot to mention the 6-9 weeks of coalition negotiations, meaning Germany will keep wondering until May what their new government looks like, who the ministers are, and which manifesto promises were slaughtered on the negotiation table.

But at least Papa Merz can claim he won the election😀
