I agree. I don’t understand why every person who receives social security or any other government benefit are not out in the street protesting that Elon Musk can now see everyone’s banking and financial history data. How is this even allowed and why is no one screaming and protesting about it?

These 2 metrics measure the coverage and costs of healthcare — ie the outputs of what the health system produces. # or % of people insured is only (one of) the inputs to healthcare delivery.

There are metrics for healthcare already that the rest of the world uses: 1. Effective coverage of essential health services and 2. % of people who experience financial hardship (xx % closer to GDP per capita for a country) because of medical expenses.

Eric Bricker’s videos are awesome. It is also interesting to compare the US healthcare system to that of other countries to see where instructural changes could facilitate cost savings — and how technology could play a role in achieving it.
