In Shropshire, one must 'Tell The Bees' of a death in the household. In 1961, the Bee's of Sam Rogers from Myddle (totalling 14 hives) were told of his passing. They turned up at his funeral service and settled on the flowers at his grave 💚

I feel as though this is now a more natural home for @hookland.bsky.social - it reminds me of when I first stumbled over its border, blinking but feeling at home. Like walking out of woods onto a meadow.
