Residents in D&R are struggling with the financial implications of leasehold and the lack of transparency. I was glad to speak today to the LBBD leaseholder conference about the ways to change this outdated ‘Fleecehold’ system.

Busy day went to New Scotland Yard. As part of the Home Affairs Commitee to look at facial recognition technology. I asked lots of questions . I always look out for, and speak up for Dagenham and Rainham.

A pleasure as always to host @LBBDYoungMayor and the BAD Youth Forum at Westminster. Great to have both @Nesil_Caliskan and I there to answer questions about the borough. The big concerns? Policing, opportunities and housing! lots of budding politicians in the room. 🙌

Following the SEND roundtable I held on Friday I have made a representation to the Secretary of State for Education. The system is broken and it is my hope that the voices and experiences of the SEND community in Dagenham & Rainham will be considered in any upcoming changes.
