Before the horrific cuts to adult education in 2010, for those out of work, sewing classes at FE colleges were about £30/term. I did ones on corsetry and using an overlocker. One way to make building homes cheaper: hire apprentices to do the grunt work, only £7.55/hour! Sure they do get qualifications and training but it does seem that using them to build luxury flats, with only 338 council flat is taking the mick. But that's capitalism. Extracting maximum profit.

It's kind of impressive how the entire launch onto Bluesky of official US federal govt depts seems like an exercise in ressurecting Goebellian propaganda tactics, shamelessly and with some expectation that it's welcomed by anyone. Some of the top blocked accounts on Bluesky in only a few weeks! 🤣
