I’ll always advocate for our troops - not just when it’s convenient, but especially when they’re being failed.

When service members are overworked, underpaid, or ignored, we’re failing the very foundation of our defense.

Taking care of our troops is how we take care of our country.

700,000 FL kids kicked out of healthcare plan. Many are kicked off for procedural reasons, not due to eligibility. Possibly, families got tripped up in red tape, confusing notices, and the inability to access personalized assistance. Example: states had call waiting times of hours, not minutes. 1/2

A service member that is exhausted and worried about whether their kids will have enough to eat will never be mission-ready.

We can spend billions on missiles and jets - but if we don’t take care of our troops and their families, we’re failing at the root of national defense: troop welfare.

My heart is with the students, staff, and families affected by the tragedy at Evergreen High School in Colorado. No community should have to endure this pain.

Our kids deserve to be protected by laws and policies that prevent gun violence - not left to thoughts and prayers after another tragedy.
