Charlie spits up liquid medicine so I have get his gabapentin as a transdermal and the compounding pharmacy my vet uses is called Mixlab - they include a little toy with the medicine when they ship it to you and the toy included with the most recent refill is now Theo’s favorite thing in the world

Charlie hasn’t been able to eat with the cone on so I’ve been taking it off at mealtimes (he runs and hides under the bed once he’s done eating). my mom was watching them and he ate both wet & dry food perfectly fine with his cone on 😭 he’s just been manipulating me to get freedom from the cone lol

doing their best in this difficult time. I can’t leave them alone together until Charlie’s stitches come out and they are struggling with the separation. When I shut Charlie in the bedroom they stick their paws underneath the door and cry for each other 😭

watching wake up dead man and doing the Leo pointing meme when the Cubs game comes on, then getting annoyed because I knew which game it was and the happ and Kelly at bats they showed were from different innings, and the Kyle Tucker at bat was from a different game. Loved seeing Nico though!

Using my phone flashlight for the daily inspection I’m supposed to do of Charlie’s stitches because he is a dark gray cat and the stitches are dark purple and I can’t see a fucking thing and jfc we still have another week before they can come out 😭

the discussion about zootopia 2 removing a silence of the lambs scene reminded me of the “oh shit!” moment I had as an adult when I saw Deliverance and suddenly understood the running bit with Babs and Buster on a river trip and possums playing banjos from tiny toons - how I spent my summer vacation

Charlie’s tail got broken last night and we spent the night in the er vet, they had to amputate the broken part. Has to wear a cone for 2 weeks. Theo doesn’t recognize his smell after being at the vet that long so I have to keep them separated and that is how we spent Thanksgiving this year 😭🤦🏻♀️
