I am so happy to be part of this study which brings the knowledge of the COS budget a step forward! It shed light into the peatlands COS emissions.

Methane (CH4) emissions represent about 20% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. Using satellite data, Dr Xin Lin, explained that the recent surge in methane emissions in 2021 is primary driven by an increase of wetland emissions over tropical areas.
