I’m so sorry but we’re all so fucked if THOSE are the opinions of the most well known “democratic socialist” in this country. this is genuinely making me crash out because I’m so horrified. maintaining hope is SO HARD I WANT TO THROW UP AND CRY AND PUNCH A WALL I’m so angry and sad what the fuck

also the ideal way to conceal your identity is non-descriptive clothing. Like a black long sleeve you can find anywhere, black pants you can find anywhere, a black hat. if law enforcement wanted to track ppl in a general area purchasing these costumes, they would be able to narrow it down further.

what point are we just trivializing and undercutting the message of the protests in the first place? idk it just really reeks of liberal wine mom activism that leaves marginalized communities feeling ostracized, as if our pain and oppression are so unserious. At least that’s how I feel about it 🤷‍♀️ +

EXACTLY I always cry when I’m in nature bc it just feels like home in the deepest sense. A feeling that can only be described as an ancestral, deep and loving connection to the land & freedom that my blood understands. Ugh, feeling very weepy & emo this Indigenous Peoples Day <3

do they caress a tree stump & thank them for that fire wood? Do they breathe deeply & thank the trees for the crisp and clean air? Do they thank the rain for making the green trees greener, contrasting beautifully with the yellow autumn leaves? Do they even understand how deeply we’re all connected?

I think of that lonely empty cabin sitting and waiting for the next people to arrive, of the chopped wood getting wet to the core as the gifts from the earth wait for people who probably won’t appreciate the land. They’ll appreciate the beauty, and what the land gave them. But do they give thanks?

I looked up how much the cabin is to rent, in hopes that maybe I could visit again & have more time to be there in nature bc it was beautiful and i really felt this connection to the land while I was there & it was twice my rent for a single night (we didn’t pay for the stay, so I had no idea)

It was more than capitalism that did that of course but ppl underestimate just how much greed plays a part in colonialism
October 13, 2025 at 9:56 PM
capitalism makes me angry not in the sense of “darn I wanted to use that money for something fun but I gotta pay bills” but more like “there was a life before all of this that my ancestors lived and capitalism has removed us all so far from our connection to land & replaced it with materialism”
