October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so please get a mammogram! Breast cancer affects both women and men, of all ages and all family histories. I had my 1st earlier this year, and it was easy! My tech, pictured here, made my first one very easy and painless with her great sense of humor. 😀

It was a perfect day for RedGate Park & Arboretum Day! This green space is a gift for Rockville residents. We can all use a little more nature in our lives.

I’m enjoying a day off (kinda lol) and getting my hands in the soil once more. I’ve seen 2 hummingbirds so far! They love my late boneset. ❤️ They move too fast for a picture!

I was truly honored today to attend the memorial service for Rev. Lon Dring, an amazing man who founded Interfaith Works and Manna Food, and was the force that brought Habitat for Humanity to the County. He was a shining example of living one’s faith in deed, not word. ❤️

Deeply disturbed to hear that a pedestrian was struck by a driver at Veirs Mill and Atlantic Avenue. Once again, this intersection confirms it is one of the most dangerous intersections in the City of Rockville. We *must* work together as a community to protect each other.

Be a spotted lanternfly stomper! I visited King Farm this morning, and the infestation was the worst I have seen in Rockville so far. Remove Tree of Heaven from your property and stomp away!
