Yes! Thank you for explaining this to folks. I live in Texas surrounded by conservatives and so often pundits and press get motivations and understanding of people deep in the MAGA propaganda-verse wrong, forgetting these people are brainwashed and have no touchstone of truth in their media

Why are we mad? They were between a rock and a hard place. Shutting down the government was a bad choice too. Shut down the government and make families suffer immediately and hand Trump even more power or fund the government for 6 months under an atrocious funding bill. It was lose/lose
