Still getting the hang of Bluesky, so please excuse my reply if it was limited. To be clear, I recognize nazism as a threat to many groups - not just jews - so when I say this is a threat to my friends, I am talking about other targeted communities as well.

Hi CM: Agreed we should call things what they are. I am white, but my response to Nazi salutes comes from a place of being Jewish. Nazism is a direct threat to me, my family and my friends. Not giving a pass to anyone, just feel unsure about what I am seeing here. Whatever it is - it is not good.

Who knows - maybe this was just some ill-considered awkward gesture by a guy who is so messed up he doesn't realize what the gesture he is making looks like - but holy sh*t!
