There were no more nazis, but there were plenty of Hitler supporters that still were alive even well into the 90s. I always wondered, did they just act like nothing happened and went about their lives?

Correct. I've always wondered how Germans handled their situation. There must have been Gen-Xers like myself, but in Germany whose grandparents supported Hitler. And not every German soldier went on trial. Did they just go back to living their lives after the war and act like nothing happened?

I've seen plenty of politicians and administrations come and go in my 50 plus years and like many people I've always had a slight healthy and rational mistrust of our government, but I never thought I would see the day where I feared my government.

Not even counting this most recent comment, but Trump is the only president that I can recall in modern history that has mentioned about taking guns away. This is at least the second time. And this is another reason why they want the voter polls. It's a way of determining who can be armed.
