If you took my comment to be supportive of Reeves then I don't think there's much more I can say to help you understand. And if you think that it's ok to lie and manipulate to further your agenda then we're probably not going to get along.

Absolutely! It's a dreadful interview but the manipulation makes it a spectacular own goal. I'm all for fighting hard but if we're going to lie and be taken in by manipulation then we might as well be MAGA. This is just a low-IQ strategy.

This is shameful editing! I watched this live and she said that working in the NHS is clearly contributing, but it's been cut out of this clip. It was an awful interview with so much to criticise by this sneaky editing is just dishonest. We must be better than this!

Didn't have a particular problem with physical ID cards when last proposed in the 2000s but the prospect of big tech firms (Musk, Thiel, etc) being permanently embedded in the national digital infrastructure is simply unpalatable.

Honestly, I found it harder to quit vaping than fags. I reduced down to 0 nicotine and still kept vaping for a year or so. In the end, I went back in the fags for a while and quit completely from there. Hard sweets/mints are helpful so you still get the hand-mouth action when you're craving. My 2p

What's this 'grift' you speak of? I'm not on X but just listened to Bastani interviewing Sarkar about her new book. Wouldn't say there was anything particularly controversial in that.

The block-lists thing seems to be working well for many. I've used a few MAGA block lists and haven't seen any loons at all. So seems to be working at the moment.

I've worked in social care for many years. It is clear that some providers view their services as nothing more than a vehicle to launder tax payers money. There are many excellent services too and we need to be doing much more to incentivise these whilst preventing the scammers from operating.
