Fini/...without ocassional glimpses of almost lyrical prose from the author. It's certainly worth taking the time to read despite its challenging content.

I hear you, but let me (try) and cheer you up.

Today I marked a student podcast which was one of the best things created by UGs that I've listened to in 20 years. 4 young women, 4 different backgrounds and ethnicities, talking about the female experience in history.

And that made my day.

Just to add, as @kissphoria.bsky.social noted in her own thread, including random statements from the bible or any other book, isn't citing evidence in a reasonable or scholarly manner.
