Finally got a flower open on my orchid. It's been months since that happened.

It's been a month since my last update on my orchid. The flower stalk has come along nicely and has several buds on it. Won't be long until actual flowers open up!

Finally after months with no flowers, my orchid is generating a flower stalk!

Christmas is on the horizon. Gotta say that I've never been a fan of contemporary Christmas songs with some exceptions. I'll take the classics any day. I am really going to show my age here - this 1965 album is the one that my sisters and I listened to constantly as kids. IMO it's the best.

The past few years, my wife has used a dry brine method for the Thanksgiving turkey. This year we're trying a wet brine method. Hope it turns out well!
