Mad is the word. Player safety is supposed to be the primary responsibility of refs. Caceido has committed this kind of foul so many times and has consistently got away with murder so thank God he got his just deserts for once and Merino is unscathed

My view is that we are blessed to still be getting music from this wonderful group of players. Yes I prefer the albums featuring original DP songs (which IMHO remain of an extraordinarily high standard), but this one is good honest fun. My ticket for next year’s gig in London is already bought 😀

Congrats gents. Just listened to the pod during a work out. Your love and knowledge of CTTB shone through throughout and it was wonderful to immerse myself in all of that. For me, this is a stone cold classic and probably Coverdale’s best DP vocals

Super Friends was a criminally underrated title. Great covers and interior art across the run, including Kurt Schaffenberger, a personal favourite of mine

I genuinely love every track on this album. Saw the CTTB tour at Wembley in March 1976 and clearly remember Tommy getting booed during his solo amid cries for Blackmore etc. Desperately Sad we never got another album from this line up and lost TB too early. Definitional funk rock statement for me

And that rarity in comic dom - a genuinely atmospheric and downright scary piece of work. I never bought the DC versions but have the originals in the Warrior comic publication of here in the UK

Although Jim is of course the ‘space opera’ artist/writer par excellence (Warlock, Thanos, Drax, Captain Marvel and Dreadstar etc), I think his superhero art is massively underrated, and in particular his Batman and Batman Family work
