Custodial institutions have a duty to prevent contraband from entering prisons and to keep both residents and staff safe. That includes donated books.

2/ RCMP say it’s a “civil issue.” The Landlord & Tenant Advisory Board says it’s “shared accommodation” and won’t advise. Meanwhile, a vulnerable woman can’t enter her own property. Serious question: what options actually exist here?
