I have a thing for collectible cards from the 50s and 60s about the space race. They always start off with rockets in China, Montgolfier, etc. and current space programme and then end with what will happen in the future - moonbases travel to Mars, contact with aliens, as if that's a done deal.

Until i moved up north, it could take weeks of phoning every day to get an appointment. and yet Labour apologists claim that waiting lists were short twenty years ago - yeah because you could only get same day appointments. Pricks. It was appalling then though it's probably worse (down south) now.

Didn't get the mop and bucket treatment, but do remember being seen as having an attitude problem because I asked why we had to wear a tie for the school uniform. It didn't seem to serve any purpose I could see. I genuinely just wanted to know the reason. Problem was I guess they didn't know either.

Also a lot of allistic people ask questions as a challenge - because they disagree and they want the other person to justify themselves. So when you ask because it doesn't make sense, they'll project this as a challenge. It sometimes really throws them if you then just reply with "oh i get it now".
