Since Mike Johnson said he has no intention of bringing an ACA vote to the House floor anyway, how, exactly, is the vote promised in the Senate going to save the ACA without a House vote as well? The Senate just folded like a cheap suit. The Senate Democratic Caucus needs new Leadership now!

It is past time for new Senate leadership. Tonight was an absolute disgrace and a slap in the face to those of us who sacrificed to hold the line for affordable healthcare. As Democrats we deserve stronger leadership. Our party never fails to disappoint.

I think that if the Democrats lose in the midterms, it’s going to be because the DNC didn’t run candidates that were appropriate for each specific district. In other words, they can’t all have the same exact platform, because voters have different priorities in various districts. Just my 2 cents.

If your goal is to drive away Independents and moderate Republicans & maybe some Dems from Democratic candidates, this just might do it. Folks who want this kind of legislation were already going to vote for Democrats. All this does is drive away Independent & moderate Republican potential voters.

I think each of them admitting they made a mistake would be a good start. More importantly, would be action.

I feel that the Republicans allow the Democrats to “think” they are in the club, when in actuality, they are not in the club. Democrats are allowed to feel like they are in the club so they will be more agreeable. Then Lucy pulls away the Football and the Democrats are, yet again, surprised.

He folded like a cheap suit in when Trump falsely claimed his father had something to do with President Kennedy’s assassination in 2016. For me, that spoke to the lack of character they both had. This is not at all meant to diminish when your own opinion of Rubio changed.

I still can’t get over the fact that Marco Rubio was confirmed by the Senate 99-0. Democratic Senators should be asked to justify their vote for this… person.

I hope that I am wrong about this, and that the DOJ would have no jurisdiction or influence over a Special Prosecutor appointed by a federal judge. I really do hope that I am wrong.

I’ll amend this to say that the DOJ or a special prosecutor would prosecute any offenders. Still, the Special Prosecutor would answer to the DOJ. See the problem here?

So, if I understand the broad strokes of the workings of a criminal contempt investigation correctly, the judge would refer it to the DOJ to handle the investigation, or could appoint a special investigator who <checks notes> would answer to… the DOJ. Oh, and final appeals are decided by SCOTUS?

You got this one wrong. Elon has purchased the position of King of The United States of America. Donald Trump is simply Present Puppet. The Democratic Party does not appear to be acting with any sense of urgency, and unity.
