Great, where’s her data supporting this statement?

Agreed, but you only need one pickup. That leaves for 4-6 spots in the personal fleet for other interesting choices.

This would be a slam dunk in PSPS world (Public Safety Power Shutoff)—but 7 grand for the V2H hardware…plus installation?

Also, why is perfect the enemy of the good—every single time in Detroit?

For $30k less, I think I’d just buy an XLR and hum supercharger noises as I drove it.

Truly the best lux version of a green car.

No question, it’s much tougher to own *any* new car in an area that doesn’t have a dealer/service center.

Small sample size alert—I’ve had two R1S loaners and two rental cars (a Mach-E and a totally sweet base Mirage econobox). 100% of service reps are people you’d want to have a beer with.

Will happily pick the winner up at SFO.

When I was 19? Digital lab scales.

Today? Air quality monitoring equipment. The whole world becomes your lab.

Wow, you have to get to page 6 to get to possible causes of the AQ improvement. Talk about building dramatic tension.

Talk to more EV drivers. We can all say what we want, but Teslas work and work well for a lot of EV drivers…and that is before taking fast charging into account.

That said, if John wants to write an article on his top 5 alternatives, that would be a great reference for the EV curious.

I won’t doubt the numbers, but based on the number of new Y’s sporting the light bar, I’m not seeing a massive decline in the Bay Area.

I’m nostalgic for the Outlander. It was the PHEV SUV we needed in 2014 (and could have had with some bold moves by Mitsu at the time).

If Outlander PHEV owners can access Nissan dealers for service, that could be a good thing also.

Sweet.

I’m on board with this. Not sure when the Chrysler name actually was on the cars? Back in my day it was Dodge & Plymouth.

Yeah, didn’t have much hope for that one, but it was an excuse to post a cool deux chevaux photo.

Dunno, Fiat-Chrysler?

ANYTHING would be better than Stellantis.
May 19, 2025 at 1:50 PM
Keep the brands (well, not DS), kill the name Stellantis.

And FFS, they are Dodge trucks!

Now talk about the rabbit population…

These came out exactly at the time I got my license and started off-roading. I probably still have my copy of Four Wheeler with their first off-road test (it was the diesel, if I remember).

Temptingly realistic price, but this one would evaporate in a cloud of rust if I brought it to the coast…
