I had a relative who would make hot dogs in baked beans for after Thanksgiving; the carbs and protein hit the spot, and you can do it in a Crock Pot.

Down side: it has the nutritional value of hot dogs with baked beans (and ketchup.)

ICE also tried to take (improbably) Third Amendment rights, wondering why they couldn't get fed or use the bathroom from people who didn't want them there. This is in addition to your well-stated points.
