PD Systems still exists today and a stones throw from the original location. They don’t seem to have a website though.

Windows 95 changed home computing forever.
And by ‘changed,’ I mean ‘introduced us to the concept of reinstalling your OS every six months.’

The SAM Coupé was poorly marketed as a Spectrum successor but ended up as the Spectrum’s slightly awkward younger cousin who never got invited to family gatherings. It was so much more as well...

Schools forced kids to learn on the BBC Micro, then expected them to go home and understand their Spectrum’s rubber keyboard. No wonder so many ‘80s kids got good at troubleshooting.

The Commodore Amiga was the best machine of its generation. So naturally, Commodore found a way to completely ruin it. What the hell happened?

The Dragon 32 was a noble attempt at a British-built home computer. Unfortunately, it was also a noble attempt at making TRS-80 software seem desirable. I have one now, but I'm finding it hard to find anyone saying positive things. Can anyone help?

MSX was supposed to be the ‘standard’ for home computing. In the UK, that standard was ‘virtually unknown.’ which has left me a bit obsessed about what I missed out on. If anyone can share the best things about MSX I'd love to hear about it.

Atari ST users swore blind that their machine was superior to the Amiga. Then they saw Shadow of the Beast running on an A500 and went very quiet.

I've just started a little personal project video to build my own CV arcade stick. I've got as far as ordering the parts and a quick fitment test. I think we've both selected the same keypad!
Mine won't end up as nice as yours by a long shot, but nicer to use than the awful OG controllers.

The Amstrad CPC came with a monitor, making it look serious. Shame most people only used it to load tapes for 15 minutes and play Chuckie Egg.

Acorn had a habit of being ahead of its time - first with RISC computing, then with its own demise. Imagine if the Archimedes had been marketed as well as the BBC Micro.

The ZX Spectrum’s rainbow stripe wasn’t just branding - it was a warning label for the colour clash inside.

The Jupiter Ace (1982) used Forth instead of BASIC. Would programming in schools have changed if Forth had been more widely adopted? Who preferred Forth? And WHY are these so madly expensive now?
