Might be time to re-read @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social’s dad’s book. Read it in college about 20 years ago.

Reading ‘Filterworld’ by @chaykak.bsky.social and loving. Highly recommend - the concepts in it affect all of us now, the chapter on Netflix will peel your eyelids back. amzn.eu/d/6ZnHPsB

Just loved Parr’s work. He had this way of poking fun at public absurdity with his camera, without ever exploiting or punching down - he remained kind and empathetic and whimsical. This is the closest I ever got to emulating him. Will spend the rest of my life trying.

Normally I'd assume this little detail was intentional subtext but with this crowd, you can never be sure that it wasn't just an idiotic oversight

As a media trainer, if you’re not a strategic advisor, what is your worth, exactly? If you are not coaching for spin, what are you doing? Also, podcasters have been doing disclaimers regularly for years. @caseynewton.bsky.social & @kevinroose.com do it every week on Hard Fork.

I find it so baffling that a new leader like Bari Weiss would be allowed by her own team send such a tone deaf all-hands message. Even a quick audience sense check with AI shows it would bomb. Mine: claude.ai/chat/c3d2884...
