In the Kansas plains the land is flat and endless and when the wind starts blowing it just keeps going - unless you erect huge wind turbines to capture the energy. And this clean energy system works even in a pouring rain.

The last two in my Diana series are campus shots taken at the University Park Campus of USC. The USC Graduate School wanted a distinctive look to set it apart from other schools and it was decided that black and white photos with a toy camera was just the look.

My neighbor Estelle would dress-up to and walk to attend a square dancing class and one day I asked to take her portrait with her dog. The second is Vicky with flowers shot using a technique that I learned from Joyce Tenneson.

A grand LA tradition is to attend the Hollywood Bowl for a concert with fireworks. Last night the special performers were the LA Phil were Earth, Wind and Fire. the band is still going strong and will be performing here two more nights.

There was a time when government buildings had some heft and style. When you entered the building you felt that this was the place where important people work and service for the greater good was performed. One of those examples is the Nebraska State Capitol Building in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Fields of tallgrass used to cover the midwestern landscape and in a small part of Kansas the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is protecting one of the last remaining prairies. Instead of showing wide fields of tallgrass, I decided to look close for the beauty.

Hudson Marquez, a member of the art collective Ant Farm had an idea to make seed packs where you could plant seeds that would grow cars. This idea sprouted into Cadillac Ranch a tribute to the Cadillac tail-fin along Route 66 west of Amarillo, Texas.

A Masked Booby and Red-footed Booby shot on #CrystalSerenity off the East Coast of Brazil. These boobies were attracted to the bow of boats because they often follow ships to hunt flying fish, which are easily caught from the air.
