Nope, I don't think he's rational. But I think one of the very few things he understands with some clarity is the impact of TV--and to him this is TV.

I'm not saying that to cheer ppl up; I think Trump is more dangerous than ever, especially in situations like this in which he screwed up and desperately needs to have people believe he didn't. But the idea that this is all part of his grand plan? No. All this video is bad for him and he knows it.

I think the effect of posts like yours is to discourage people from voting. If that isn't your intention, great.

The rumors do not play on homophobia but on hypocrisy. Graham is a powerful man who helps to lead a party that has defined itself as an enemy of gay rights. Pointing out that he has debased himself by selling out his identity to a party whose voters dehumanize people like him is more than fair.

I would never use the word "important." But I would absolutely say interesting, revealing, and illuminating.

I think "This is for straight people" is true of queer media on rare occasions but is petty sniping way more often. I mean, it's GOOD when straight people like queer-themed shows/movies/books etc.! But it's on us to remember that the work we enjoy does not require that kind of validation.
