a rather serious case of a bot fly infestation a few years before had cost him a large amount of his stomach lining, and one of his kidneys, before he managed to pick all the magots out.

This had also led to the revelation that Mr Spleen, the zombie in question , is less than fond of insects. As Insects tended to treat zombie as something akin to walking buffets for their larva.
He is some what fastidious around creepy crawlies for this reason

The Bryon like 18th century werewolf rage poet in my head has told the 19th century zombie solicitor that he thinks the reason they can not find Sodden hall is it has millipede legs, below the water line) in the same way BabaYaga's hut has chicken legs

This has creeped me out...

Monsters in the to-read pile
I have little doubt one day the police will break in my house after i have been ‘missing’ for several weeks to discover my body, under this pile of books. There are worse ways to go.

Also , if your watch is a small pot full of watcher with a potatoes in it , aren't you going to split it when you tilt your wrist to read the time

its no wonder they died out

but as the boiling point of water changes with altitude, thus the temperature, ergo the time it takes to cook the potatoe and the inca's were an Andean civilization
Time will have passed quicker at sea level than in the high mountains.
This would have confused the watchmakers

Widdershins is an old Scottish word
meaning to circle something in the direction opposite to the sun or anti-clockwise. To turn widdershins is considered to be bad luck
So why did we name a book 3 Turns Widdershins
