The Trump regime should be punished for their INTENT. I know that is not correct jurisprudence, but there should be exceptions for heinous, willful abuses like this.

It's an argument for the reality of political timing and optics.
Right now, we have him on the downward spiral. Why give him more fuel to twist and feed to his diminishing minions ?

He's a former prosecutor. How would it look if he called for impeachment before gathering evidence ?
This doesn't concern me that he will pursue justice, once he has the power to do so.
