Unfortunately this might be a wet dream on some/many in a lot of other countries as well? It has to be prevented. Probably even EU countries - with GDPR, Data Privacy and other laws - are not outside of these acts?

Nothing against boycotting Amazon but then it would be good to recommend preferably european sustainable alternatives for its different biz areas. Some are obvious to many, some to a few - some might be quite unknown to most at the moment.
