I think they were trolling lol.

If Soulslikes are defined by their harsh difficulty, it doesn’t have that. Nor is there a bonfire system. Nor do you recover experience after dying. Nor is the storytelling environmental.

KH is an action-RPG. Nothing more. Can’t think of a single Soulslike element.

Media should not be using their platform to try and counter act what the public is doing.

As someone who has been to every E3 that existsed since 2015, and every SGF/IGN Live since -- most people's exhausting comes from the afterparties. The days can be long, yes. But no one is forcing you to go to the JW or The Fig and drink with people until 3am.

So I dont even fully fault people who leave these events with a bit of a skewed opinion. Im sure the event WAS fun. Im sure you had a ton of fun playing the game at that event. Will you ever play it again? Probably not. Will people at home enjoy it? Eh, maybe?? But it's a different experience.

Then real people load it up at home, on real world conditions. No devs standing behind them. No fully stocked snack table next to them. No fancy hotel. They're just playing alone or with people on a headset, and you discover, it's just a game. A game that isn't as fun as Twitter made it sound.

In all seriousness, Ive been in this industry 10 years. Ive been to more preview/review events than I can count. They are DESIGNED to have you leave thinking that what you just played was the most fun thing ever.

The Highguard event was likelya fun LAN party, and I geniunly believe people has fun.
